After owning and operating Horvath Specialty Auto for a short period of time, I have learned a few different things that I thought I would share.

Most people do not understand my fascination with classic and unique cars. They hear me say that I walk up to homes, knock on doors, and ask about random cars the owners have sitting in fields or in their yards and they say, "you're going to get shot one day." Most people do not understand.
About a week ago, I was driving around, searching for cars that have been neglected...yes, I actually do that. As I was driving, barely 10 miles from home, I saw a car covered in various plastic tarps with a set of 1960s Corvette taillights peaking out from under the tarps. I made a mental note and kept driving. For the next several days, I thought about what could be under there and decided I had to go back.
I pulled into the driveway, knocked on the door, and...I didn't get shot. An older gentleman opened the door and asked what I wanted. I explained who I was and said that I was interested in talking about the covered up cars in the driveway. He noted that the Impala SS was not for sale, but the "other one" might be and he called for his grandson, Anthony.
Anthony came out and introduced himself. He explained that there was a 1964 Corvette Stingray under the tarps and was very excited to show me the show trophies the car had one. I had to see the car at this point. As he uncovered the car, he told me that it was a numbers-matching car minus the block and it was a 327-250HP car. It was also a two owner car.
He explained that he had been in a car wreck a few years ago and was needing to go back to work. He mentioned that it was his goal to become a diesel mechanic and he was ready to tackle that task.
Together we finished uncovering the Stingray and I was in shock as it was nearly perfect. The pollen was so thick on the car that it was hard to tell the color, but there wasn't a dent on the body, the chrome was in great shape, the interior was flawless, and even the white top was nearly pristine. Anthony explained the history of the car and said that it hadn't been on the road in a few years. The car needs brake work, heads redone, and a professional detail.
This is a car that you do not see every day. These are the stories that you don't get to hear unless you're willing to knock on doors and meet the owners. Not only did I make my own day, but Anthony was excited to tell me the stories and uncover the car. He was excited to show it off. Anthony's contact information is now in my phone, and maybe one day, this 1964 Corvette Stingray will be sitting in my garage. For now, I'll cherish the story.
I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and Horvath Specialty Auto.
My name is Brandon Horvath. I grew up with my father bringing home a different vehicle nearly every week. He has owned 100s of cars across all makes and in all conditions. Today, he has scaled back in buying and is focused on only the few that he loves and that will be left to my brothers and I after he passes. If you're curious, I will inherit a low-mileage 1987 Buick Grand National--hence the inspiration for the logo of Horvath Specialty Auto.
I am a full-time business consultant by day. I work to equip small business owners in Arkansas with the tools to start, grow, and sell small businesses. I have been doing this for three years and have always wanted to be an entrepreneur myself.
As a way to fund vacations, have the finer things in life, etc. I began buying and selling cars. I was successful in doing so throughout 2016 and decided I was ready for more. I founded Horvath Specialty Auto in 2017 and began creating services that will benefit various levels of "car people".

The company offers a locator service to help you find your dream vehicle. Using the Internet, connections that the company has built, or just cold-calling known collectors, I am confident that I will find the perfect vehicle for you within the given budget.
Whether you are an individual with one car or many vehicles or you are a small dealership looking to compete with larger area dealerships, Horvath Specialty Auto has a service to help you market to the masses. Applying the same techniques to sell my own cars, I will visit with you, take pictures of the vehicles for sale, craft a detailed description, and list those vehicles for you online using platforms geared to sell vehicles.
